What To Expect
Professional and precise care is given to each patient we see. Your hearing needs are unique and our goal is to establish a personalized treatment plan customized to your hearing health.
Hearing Health Assessment
Our First Step is to review your hearing health and medical history to better understand the concerns you have. Your history of noise exposure, dizziness, allergies and ear infections can all impact hearing health. A thorough case history helps in diagnosing the specific cause of your hearing loss, tinnitus or other audiological disorder.
Hearing Evaluation
Our hearing tests are painless and take place in our soundproof audiometric booth under headphones.
- Otoscopy: examining your outer ear, ear canal, and eardrum.
- Tympanometry: testing of your middle ear system.
- Air and bone conduction testing: determine the softest sounds you can hear at different frequencies.
- Speech testing: recording your speech threshold and understanding ability
Insurance
We will always check with your insurance and help you understand any hearing evaluation and hearing aid benefits that may be utilized. Medicare will help pay for one diagnostic hearing evaluation in a patient’s lifetime with a physician’s order.
